About me….
Hello, I’m Jo.
I am a basket maker and willow grower living in Somerset. Working with natural sustainable materials which are grown locally on the Somerset Levels or on my own small holding. My love of basket making grew after attending a couple of one day courses. I became enamoured with the process, the mindful nature of a continuous weave and the joy of creating something with a practical use out of something from nature. Wishing to hone my skills further, and learn more about this heritage craft I have recently completed a City & Guilds course in Basketry.
I am delighted to have been awarded an “Emerging Maker” bursary from Somerset Art Works this year, and look forward to working with them.
